Production update and Pictures of the final Samples

Noble Lords,
first things first, the production update: the production is bound to start at the beginning of February and will run until mid-March.
We just received the final samples so we could finally confirm the start of production to the Factory. As many of you know, China is currently celebrating the Chinese New Year, so the production will start as soon as the New Year celebrations are over (first days of February). Concerning the samples, there were a couple of things to adjust - which we proptly communicated - and we are very satisfied with the quality and overall result.

We would like to thank everyone for your patience. As previously discussed the sudden and unexpected change of manufacturer impacted on the production timelines. We are sorry that this affected the delivery of the project, but rest assured we are doing our best to make the updated process flow seamlessly.
As we previously communicated, Meeple Logistics will take care of distribution to Europe and Russia, while Quartermaster Logistics will take care for USA, CAN and the rest of the world. The estimated start of delivery from Quartermaster Logistics and Meeple Logistics to you will be at the start of May. From there they will start shipping the rewards to the backers. We'll keep you posted as we have any update.

Nous avons reçu nos échantillons et nous sommes heureux de pouvoir vous les présenter. Nous avons belle allure et même s'il reste quelques petits détails à corriger, la production va pouvoir commencer début février au retour de la période de congés du Nouvel An Chinois.

Comme nous l'avons déjà mentionné, le changement soudain et inattendu de fabricant qu'il a fallu opérer a eu de grandes répercussions sur les délais de production et de livraison. Soyez assurés que nous faisons de notre mieux pour que la fin du processus se déroule sans heurts.
Comme nous vous l'avions annoncé, Meeple Logistics se chargera de la distribution en Europe et en Russie, tandis que Quartermaster Logistics s'occupera des États-Unis, du Canada et du reste du monde. Le début des expéditions est prévu pour le début du mois de mai. Nous vous tiendrons au courant afin d'affiner les dates selon les pays.

PM closing December the 30th

Please read carefully the following update.
We are going to close the PM on December the 30th at 12.00. If your card has not been charged yet, it'll be charged the few days right after the PM closure. Also if you got the giant mat your card will be charged for the extra shipping costs.
Once the PM is closed we'll add the x2 Caltrop cards to all the KS backers, and we'll get in touch with anyone eligible to get one of the two free upgrade kits, so to pick your preference.
We also take advantage of the update to confirm that we'll produce a new batch of Buildings miniatures since we exceeded the goal of 100 boxes ordered! Thanks again for your help in unlocking a goal so longed by many.
In the end we are happy to show you the blank sample just received from china: this is the box which will hold the miniatures along with the foam storage that will let you keep them safe and sound.
We'll send you another update by the end of the year to show the production schedule along with the estimated shipping date.

Le gestionnaire de souscription fermera définitivement le 30 décembre prochain à 12h00. Si votre carte n'a pas déjà été débitée, elle le sera quelque jours après la fermeture et le règlement des frais de port supplémentaires, pour ceux qui ont sélectionné le tapis géant, interviendra aussi à ce moment.
Une fois le gestionnaire fermé, nous ajouterons les 2 cartes Chausse-trappes à chaque souscripteur de la campagne KS, et d'autre part, si vous êtes éligible, vous recevrez un petit questionnaire par courriel pour faire votre choix entre les 2 mises à jour.
Nous vous l'avions déjà annoncé, mais nous vous confirmons qu'une nouvelle série de figurines Bâtiment sera produite car le palier des 100 souscriptions a été franchit. Merci pour votre soutien, une fois encore !
Enfin, voici une photo d'un échantillon que nous venons de recevoir de Chine : il s'agit de la boite qui contiendra vos figurines et le casier de rangement en mousse qui vous permettra de les conserver rangées et à l'abri des chocs. Nous vous enverrons une autre missive d'ici la fin d'année pour vous annoncer le calendrier de production et la date de livraison estimée.

today we'd like to show you the whole set of prototypes we received to validate shapes and dimensions.

The painting
Someone was let down by the fact that we - The Lords and Ladies of FIEF - will be already painted, so you can't paint us as you want, but actually nothing stops you to add details or shadows and reflexes. If you wish to totally change our colors, go ahead, but don't change them too much or we'll be a bit hard to identify on the map of France.
Production and timings
We can now validate and start producing the molds. The next update will show the production schedule and the expected shipping date.

La peinture
Certains sont déçus de ne pouvoir nous peindre car nous aurons déjà nos couleurs. Rien n'empêchera, si vous le souhaitez, de travailler certains détails ou de rajouter ombrages et reflets. Rien n'empêchera non plus de modifier nos couleurs, mais nous serons plus difficilement identifiables dans la campagne de France...
Production
Nous allons pouvoir passer à la fabrication des moules et nous vous indiquerons dans la prochaine missive le calendrier de production et la date de livraison estimée.

Issue with Giant Mat Shipping and FREE upgrade Pack

Noble Backers,
This update concerns only those who got the Giant Mat or who qualify to receive a FREE Upgrade Pack and who got their orders locked and cards charged. There was an issue during the payment stage on BackerKit and two things did not work as we had planned.
First, for those who got the Giant Mat: the additional shipping costs have not been charged together with your order. This is an error: we are now verifying how to rectify this.
Second, for those who qualify to get the FREE update kits: these were mistakenly not added to your order automatically. We will use a manual procedure to add the packs to your order as intended.
In both cases there's nothing you need to do, we will rectify both issues, just stay tuned for the next update.

Il y a eu un cafouillage lors de l'étape de paiement sur Backerkit et 2 choses n'ont pas fonctionné de manière automatique comme nous l'avions envisagé.
D'une part, les frais de port additionnels pour ceux qui ont choisi de prendre le tapis n'ont pas été débités. Nous sommes en train de voir comment procéder pour corriger cette erreur.
D'autre part, les kits de mise à jour offerts n'ont pas été automatiquement ajoutés. Nous allons devoir utiliser une procédure manuelle et nous réaliserons les contrôles nécessaires pour éviter les erreurs.
Si vous êtes dans l'un de ces deux cas, ou les deux, vous n'avez rien à faire en particulier si ce n'est de rester à l'écoute de votre e-boite postale.
Veuillez nous excuser pour ces désagréments.

FIEF PM Closes Today!
Noble Lords,
our campaign through France's wonderful fiefdoms comes to an end. Today at 9.00 PM CET we are locking orders and will be charging your cards accordingly in the very next days.
If you are a KS backer and haven't yet completed your survey you have a very limited time to complete your Survey/Order on BackerKit.
Remember that the Giant Mat's extra shipping costs and the Free Upgrade Kits will be automatically added to your order after we lock it and right before charging your card: please see update #33 for further details.
Buildings Pack BackerKit Stretch Goal
We've achieved 88 copies out of the 100 we initially planned to reach to be able to produce a new batch of Buildings miniatures. After reasoning on the subject for some time we've decided the amount is enough to produce the buildings anyway. We would like to thank you all for unlocking even another Stretch Goal during our PM access.
Miniatures Samples
And finally, with great pleasure as well as enormous satisfaction, we'd like to show you the pictures of the first 2 samples of painted minis that we received from the factory.
Holding them in hand and seeing how they look on top of the FIEF France map confirmed our best expectations!! We can't wait for you to see them in real life, on your France map!
Now, the next step will be the production schedule!

Notre campagne de souscription se termine et nous allons fermer le gestionnaire de souscription ce soir à 21h00. Vos cartes seront débités dans les prochains jours.
Si vous avez souscrit via Kickstarter, assurez-vous d'avoir bien renseigné vos informations et d'avoir mis à jour votre souscription avec d'éventuels ajouts car il ne sera plus possible de le faire après 21h00 ce soir.
Rappelez-vous que des frais d'expédition supplémentaires pour le tapis géant et/ou que des kits de mise à niveau gratuits seront automatiquement ajoutés à votre commande après la fermeture du gestionnaire. Veuillez consulter la nouvelle #33 pour plus de détails.
Les figurines Bâtiments
Nous sommes à ce jour à 88% de l'objectif mais compte tenu de l'ensemble de la campagne et pour vous remercier encore une fois de votre soutien, nous validons la fabrication de cette réimpression !
2 échantillons peints
Enfin, c'est avec un grand plaisir, une énorme satisfaction mais aussi beaucoup de soulagement que nous vous montrons les photos des 2 échantillons des figurines peintes que nous avons reçu tout à l'heure.
Nous pouvons vous dire que lorsque vous les voyez posées devant vous sur le tapis de FIEF France, franchement... C'est à la hauteur de nos espérances !
